Day 1: Meet in Berlin
Today you will be arrived in Berlin. Later transfer to the Hotel. After wash and change you will our group and guide, who will preview the adventures ahead in the next 12 days. After a neighborhood orientation walk, we’ll enjoy dinner together. Overnight at Hotel in Berlin.
Day 2: Berlin
After climbing Berlin’s shiny new Reichstag dome, a local
guide will walk us down the venerable Unter den Linden boulevard for a city
overview. After a free afternoon we meet a specialist on Berlin’s Nazi and
Communist history to piece together that slice of the city’s story. The day’s
finale: a visit to the fascinating Museum of the Wall at Checkpoint Charlie.

Day 3: Berlin
With yesterday’s two orientation walks under our belts,
today we’re free to enjoy the cultural capital of Germany’s many world class
museums: Pergamon for ancient Greece; Gemal degallerie for paintings by the
masters; Charlottenburg for ancient Egypt and Picasso; or the stirring new
Jewish museum for a better understanding of the Holocaust. Apart from
museum-going, the city is one of Europe’s most vibrant for strolling,
people-watching, and shopping. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: Dresden Today we head south to Dresden, where we’ll see the art
treasures in the Old Masters Gallery housed in the beautifully-Baroque Zwinger.
You’ll have free time to explore more of the city dubbed “Florence on the Elbe”,
and to visit the Frauenkirche, destroyed in WWII, and now almost completely
rebuilt. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 5: Prague
Today you will cross into the Czech Republic and make our
way to Prague, Europe's best-preserved Baroque city. We'll have a short
orientation walk before dinner. Overnight at Hotel in Prague .
Days 6 & 7: Timeless Prague
We have two days to settle into fun-loving Prague. You'll
gape at the perfectly-preserved Old Town Square, explore the evocative Jewish
Quarter, tour the Prague Castle, people-watch along the Charles Bridge, and
re-live the Velvet Revolution with locals who gave the commies the boot 15 years
ago. In the evenings, you can refresh yourself with Europe’s best beer , enjoy
classical concerts, or experience the quirky and uniquely Czech Black Light
Theater. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 8: Czech Countryside and the Silver Age
Today we’ll hop on our bus to explore sleepy, provincial
Kutná Hora, once the leading city of the country during the silver boom of the
1400s. The silver is gone, but the country’s biggest Gothic cathedral, Europe’s
only Gothic well, and elaborate townhouses are a vivid testament to the town’s
former glory. After descending into a medieval mine, we’ll uncover some rural
surprises — including a unique bone chapel—before checking into our small-town
inn in Ceský Krumlov. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 9: Delightful Ceský Krumlov
The day is yours to explore charming Ceský Krumlov. With
its awe-inspiring castle, Gypsy heritage, delightful old town of shops and
cobbled lanes, characteristic little restaurants, and easy canoeing options,
having fun is a slam-dunk here. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10: Danube River, Melk and Vienna
Today in the morning drive along the prettiest stretch of
the Danube, we visit the striking abbey at Melk. Entering Vienna, we stop to
explore Maria Theresa's opulent Schönbrunn Palace. Tonight your guide introduces
you to the after dark delights of Europe’s waltz capital. Overnight at Hotel in
Vienna.
Day 11: Classy Vienna
This morning we’ll join our local guide for a walking tour
of the highlights of the Hapsburg capital, including the legendary empire's
crown jewels in Europe's top treasury. The rest of the day is yours to explore
more of Vienna’s highlights, including its world class museums, and possibly
sample every chocoholic’s fantasy — the Sachertorte. In the evening, we’ll head
for the hills to enjoy tasting Vienna's distinctive "new wine" at an atmospheric
Heurige wine garden and celebrate our last night together. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 12: Tour over
Today after Breakfast you will be transfer to the Airport
to have a flight towards your own Destination.
