Day 1: Arrive PARIS
Today upon arrival you will be welcomed by our
representative Later we'll take a short walk through
town, followed by dinner. Overnight At Hotel.
Day 2: PARIS
Todday in the morning we will have a
sightseeing tour of Paris visiting a Latin Quarter
neighborhood walk that includes the stunning Notre
Dame Cathedral and exquisite Ste-Chapelle church.also
visit the museum of Impressionist art, the Orsay.
Day 3: Giverny and Normandy
We'll follow the Seine river west to the
Mecca of Impressionism: Monet's gardens in tiny
Giverny. After a full morning enjoying the setting
that's inspired our favorite paintings, we'll continue
west and make our own landing near the epicenter of
the D-Day Allied invasion .Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4: D-day Beaches and
Bayeux
Today we'll visit powerful memorials to the
D-day landings including the American cemetery at
Omaha Beach and the artificial harbor in Arromanches
and inspect Bayeux's remarkable tapestry dedicated to
another history-changing invasion: the Normans'
triumph at the Battle of Hastings.
Day 5: Dinan and Brittany
Coast
Today in the morning we will be visiting
Brittany's best-preserved medieval town of Dinan,
spending much of our day enjoying its half-timbered
homes, cobbled lanes and buckwheat crepes. Later make
a drive along Brittany's Emerald coast and ends on the
island of Mont St. Michel.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6: Mont St. Michel to the
Loire
After a morning tour of Mont St. Michel's
abbey, we'll track the Loire River to the "land of a
thousand chateaux"... the Loire Valley. We'll end our
day where Leonardo did, in cozy Amboise .Overnight at
Hotel.
Day 7: Château Day in the
Loire Valley
Today in the morning we will have all day
to visit the best and brightest chateaux of the Loire
Valley. After touring elegant Chenonceau and massive
Chambord, you'll have free time this afternoon in
Amboise to visit Leonardo da Vinci's home, tour the
local château, or wander the pleasant pedestrian
streets. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 8: To Burgundy
Today in the morning we make our way to
bucolic Burgundy, stopping to visit the unspoiled
medieval city of Bourges. We'll arrive in our
Burgundian base with time to get oriented and enjoy a
dinner on our own.Overnight in Beaune
Day 9: Burgundy
Today is for profoundly French Burgundy
where we'll wake to the sounds and smells of market
day. After snooping about the market stalls and
mingling with local shoppers in Beaune, we'll set sail
on a wine safari, where we'll sample the regional
product and touch the Romanesque soul of Burgundy.
Day 10:Paris
Today we will bw transferred back to Paris
to enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing. Overnight At
hotel.
Day 11: Paris
After a morning tour of the Louvre museum
with a local guide, you'll be free to do as you please
in the city of light (the Champs Elysées and the
Eiffel Tower are each a short Métro ride away;
Versailles is another good possibility). Since it's
our last day, we'll celebrate with a farewell feast.
Overnight in Paris.
Day 12: Onward Destination
Today you will be transferred back to
Airport to board flight for onward destination. Au
revoir!
