Day 1 Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highland (214km)

Depart by 0900 hours for Cameron Highland, which is located at 1542 meters above sea level. Famed for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. On the way, we will stop at Batu Caves, (except during Thaipusam in January), the sacred cave temple for the Hindus, a cottage industry of basket weaving, visit a native settlement and Lata Iskandar Waterfall. At leisure on arrival (between 1600 and 1700 hours). Overnight.

Day 2 Cameron Highlands
At 0900 hours, cruise to Berinchang mountain. Trek for a short 15 minutes per way to the “mossy” forest abundant with mountane vegetation like pitcher plants. Enjoy a spectacular view of the tea plantations at the peak of 6,666 feet above sea level. After the little adventure, visit the tea factory where you can find a wide variety of different teas. Return to hotel for a short rest and freshen up. Afternoon, visit the cactus valley, a vegetable farm and the market square. Relax and enjoy the afternoon with tea with scones. Return to hotel. Overnight.

Day 3 Cameron Highlands - Penang (285 km)
At 0800 hours, depart for Penang. Enroute, visit the Sam Poh Tong Cave temple in Ipoh, a traditional biscuit making industry in a house, the Ubidiad Mosque, Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan. We will also be visiting Taiping, known for its lake garden and the oldest Museum in Malaysia, the Taiping Museum. Cross over to Penang using the third longest bridge in the world, arriving Penang at 1830 hours. Overnight.

Day 4 Penang
At 0900 hours, we will proceed for a City, Cultural and Heritage tour. Visit first the Botanical Gardens which offers lush green surroundings with a wide variety of tropical plants and birdlife. Continue to visit the third longest Reclining Buddha in the world. Nest stop is at Fort Cornwallis where Captain Francis Light first landed. At the Khoo Kongsi Clan House, you will be fascinated by the intricate carvings on the wall pillars and roof by master craftsmen from China. Visit the Kek Lok Si Temple, the most beautiful and largest Buddha Temple Complex in South East Asia. It was built in 1904 and known as the Temple of 1000 Buddhas. Its seven storey pagoda standing at 30 meters above sea level is a mixture of Chinese, Thai and Burmese architecture and craftsmanship. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. In the late evening, visit the Esplanades or Gurney Drive for a taste of the nightlife, Penang style! Overnight.

Day 5 Penang - Kota Bahru (396km)
We will depart at 0730 hours, travelling from the West to East of the Peninsular Malaysia through the main mountain range offering breathtaking views of the tropical rain forest. Stop mid way at Banding Island Resort, a remote resort over looking the scenic Temenggor Lake. Arrive at hotel. In the evening, visit the night market. Overnight.

Day 6 Kota Bahru - Terengganu (168 km)
At 0830 hours, we start the day with a visit to the colorful wet market and visit traditional craft centres like the silver handicraft, songket weaving, kite making and top spinning. Drive along the coast, taste some keropok, the famous local chips. Stop at Pulau Duyong, famous for its boat making, visit a brassware making shop, and local handicraft centre before arriving at Terengganu. In the afternoon, visit the Losong Museum, built in a traditional architectural concept. Its highlight is the section on Royal Heritage artifacts. Overnight. (Optional tour: Turtle watching is available from May to September when giant leatherback turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.)

Day 7 Terengganu - Kuantan (165 km)
At 0830 to 0900 hours, depart for Cherating/Kuantan. Pass by the floating Mosque and the oil town of Kerteh. Visit the Marang Fishing Village and Turtle Information Centre. Enroute, taste the “lemang”, rice ciiked in bamboo. Be a guest of a local community for afternoon tea. Continue with a tour of Cherating. The main attractions are coconut plucking, mengkuang leaves being weaved into bags, mats, and other local handicrafts. Overnights.

Day 8 Kuantan - Kuala Lumpur (270 km)
Overland to Kuala Lumpur or you can extend your stay at any of the fine beach resorts available. Tour ends.
