Day 1:Bangkok-Chiangmai
Day 1,
This morning we will greet you at your hotel in Bangkok at 8:30 am then board a private long tail boat to tour the canals and see how the people live along the river. We then visit the Royal Grand Palace, Wat Po temple, Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn) then have a nice Thai lunch at a riverside restaurant. We then visit Vinmanmek Mansion. We then transfer you to the airport in time for the 19:15 flight to Chiangmai. We will meet you at the airport in Chiangmai and
take you to your beautiful luxury Thai style hotel in the heart of old town Chiangmai.
Day 2:Chiangmai
You will depart Chiang Mai at 9 am by van with guide and visit the Hill Tribe Museum then on to a quiet elephant camp for a 1 1/2 hour elephant ride through streams and over mountains to a Lisu hill tribe village. Here we will spend the evening with your host Lisu family and guide and enjoy their way of life. Toilet and showers are available here however there is no electricity
Day 3:Chiangmai
We return to the elephant camp by 4-wheel drive vehicle for lunch then on to Chiangdao Cave Shrine for a 1-hour walk through the caves then on to the quiet small town of Thaton located on the Mae Kok River for the evening. Overnight at beautiful Garden Home bungalows in Thaton (double occupancy). Tonight we will enjoy a wonderful all you can eat Northern Thai food at a most famous restaurant for locals in the area.
Day 4:Doi National Park
This morning we go high into the mountains to visit Doi Mae Salong Chinese Village and other hill tribe villages we will have a nice Yunnan Chinese lunch then back down the mountain to a Shan Chinese village famous for its cotton weaving. We then board a private long tail boat to Chiangrai stopping at a Akha hill tribe village and Hot Springs along the way. We arrive back in Chiangmai around 8 PM. Overnight at you hotel Chiangmai.
Day 5:Chiangmai
This morning we travel to Doi Inthanon National Park and visit the summit of the highest mountain in Thailand then a short walk through the rain forest on the Michael trail with colorful birds and wildflowers. We then visit the twin chedi dedicated to the King and Queen, lunch at the birding center then visit a waterfalls and Karen village Hill tribe village. Tonight will be in bamboo bungalows near the Karen village. Toilets and showers are available here
Day 6:Phuket
This morning after breakfast we take a 4-hour hike on the beautiful Gew Mae Pan trail through the rain forest with colorful birds, butterflies, wildflowers and orchids. Your guide will tell you about the different plants and birds. This is also the home of the Green Tailed sunbird, which is found no other place in the world and a common resident. We then travel to Nam Tok Mae Ya waterfalls for a barbeque chicken and Papaya salad picnic lunch then time for a nice wade under this large waterfall. Return to your hotel in Chiangmai. Tonight you will enjoy a wonderful Thai dinner where everything is made from edible flowers
Day 7:Phang Nga Bay
Today we visit Chiangmais famous temples and lunch then visit the handicraft factories, which have been an important part of Chiangmai culture for hundreds of years. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 8:Phi Island
Transfer to the airport in time for your 11:15 flight to Phuket and check into your kamala Bay Terrace Resort.
Day 9:Sandy Beaches
This morning we will travel by ship to Phang Nga Bay with its beautiful rock formations. We will meet your guide for the Sea Canoe journey through caves into the inner portion of the islands. There is 1 guide for every 2 persons and all you need to do is relax, as your guide will do all the paddling. Inside these islands are crystal clear coves with monkeys and colorful birds and lush vegetation growing on shear cliffs. We will return to the ship for a wonderful Thai seafood buffet lunch then visit other islands by sea canoe. We will return to Phuket during a spectacular sunset where we will greet you and return to your hotel.
Day 10 :Phuket
This morning we take the large boat to Phi Phi Island, check into your beach front home, lunch then relax on the beach. Phi Phi Island has many small nice restaurants and pubs to explore with everything from seafood to Italian Pizza and French delicacies.
Day 11 :Phuket
This morning we will take private speed boats to visit the beautiful white sandy beaches of the surrounding islands and for snorkeling. We will have a picnic lunch on one of the islands and return to Phi Phi Island around 4 PM. Return to your beach front home.
Day 12 :Phuket
Spend the day relaxing.then Boat to Phuket in Time for your flight to Bangkok
