Day 1:ARRIVE KATMANDU
Start Kathmandu.
Day 2:IN KLATMANDU
City sightseeing in morning, afternoon free.
Day 3 GONGGAR
Fly to Gonggar, drive to Zedang and visit the Yumbu Lakhang Temple and nearby villages.
Day 4 TSANG PO
Cross the Tsang Po by ferry and visit Samye Monastery; drive to Lhasa.
Day 5/ 6 POTALA
Two days to visit the Potala, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor market.
Day 7 TSUPHU
Drive to Tsuphu Monastery, home of the boy Karmapa incarnate Lama, then to Nam Tso.
Day 8 NAM TSO
Explore the lake shore with the pilgrims.
Day 9 LHASA
Drive back to Lhasa.
Day 10/ 11 LHASA
Visit Sera and Drepung Monasteries; free time to explore.
Day 12YAMDROK TSO
Drive over the Kamba La to Yamdrok Tso, and along the shore over a pass to Jyangze.
Day 13 XIGAZE
Visit Kumbum Stupa and the ruined fort, then a short drive to Xigaze for afternoon sightseeing and a visit to the excellent bazaar.
Day 14 SAKYA MONASTRY
Drive to Sakya monastery, the 13th century capital of Tibet.
Day 15 TINGRI
Cross the high altitude moorland to Lhaze and on to Old Tingri near Xegar.
Day 16 RONGBUK
Scenic drive to Rongbuk Monastery, with superb views of Everest.
Day 17 ZHANGMU
Drive past the great bulk of Xixapangma and over the last pass down to Milarepa's Cave, followed by a precipitous descent through the Himalayas to Zhangmu.
Day 18 DHULIKEL
Leave the Tibetan plateau and cross into Nepal to Dhulikel.
Day 19 KATMANDU
Short drive to Nepal's capital Kathmandu.
Day 20 End Kathmandu.
